DIFFA’s 40th Anniversary

DIFFA’s 40th Anniversary

DIFFA’s 40th Anniversary

A 40th-anniversary sizzle film for Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA), weaving decades of archival footage and a licensed score into one celebration of four decades of impact.

Role

Video editing, motion, archival research, music licensing, sound design — across a sizzle film and four honoree tribute videos screened at the gala

Context

DIFFA's 40th anniversary called for a film that could honor four decades of work (and set the tone for a milestone gala) without feeling like a retrospective slideshow.

Output

A minute-long sizzle that moves through archival clips, interviews, and DIFFA's branding, scored to a licensed track, built to open the anniversary celebration.

The brief

Make four decades feel alive, not archived.

DIFFA had forty years of history to draw on — and the challenge was honoring that legacy without turning it into a museum piece. I dug through archival footage, wove it together with present-day interviews, and licensed a soundtrack that gave the whole thing momentum. The cut keeps the emotion of the mission front and center while staying celebratory enough to open a gala.

Beyond the sizzle, I also produced four tribute films honoring individual gala honorees, each screened live during the event. The honoree tributes aren't shown here out of respect for the individuals featured, but they were a core part of the engagement.

Key moves

01 · Archival footage cut against present-day interviews

02 · Licensed soundtrack to drive pace and emotion

03 · DIFFA's branding woven throughout for cohesion

A film worthy of
the milestone.

The finished sizzle opened DIFFA's 40th-anniversary gala — and the video work was mentioned in Interior Design magazine's coverage of the event. It gave the organization a piece that captured four decades of impact and carried the emotional weight the moment deserved.
